On the theme of focused surrender and transition, here’s what my experience has been to date.
A few years ago, I decided to find a new and meaningful way to generate income (besides fine art and illustration), and I focused on becoming certified as a substitute school teacher. After doing this for two years, I felt that the work was rarely satisfying, and so I stopped. In other words, I surrendered to my conclusion.
While I still consistently create art, I’m also currently at a transition point of “what’s next?” Transition points can come at any time, and at any age. To use affirmations in the process, even if I’m not quite clear on what I’m affirming, helps me feel that I will handle the next phase to the best of my potential.
