Michael Murphy's 2-part Falkirk Series, Aug 30

Michael Murphy's 2-part Falkirk Series, Aug 30

Back
August 30th, 2017 6:30 PM  through  9:30 PM

Join us for a special 2-part Falkirk Series with Michael Murphy this August 2 and 30 at Falkirk Cultural Center, San Rafael.

Michael will explore the role language plays in transformative practice; the ways it can either inhibit or promote extraordinary functioning; and the islands of connotation in which words float.  In this he will compare what we mean by terms such as enlightenment, satori, ego, normal, supernormal, abnormal, Intelligence, and eccentricity.  Michael will argue that we need a hospital for certain words and a cemetery for others.  Bring words, phrases, and admonitions that puzzle, irritate, or inspire you.
